TechNet Augusta 2026 Highlights: Growing Demand for Practical Cyber Readiness

CyberproAI spent August 17–20 at TechNet Augusta 2026, alongside military, government, and industry representatives shaping the next generation of cyber operations.
TechNet Augusta is an annual AFCEA conference designed to connect the military and commercial sectors, providing a forum for government, academia and industry to address complex challenges in cyber defense. This year's event, held with assistance from the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence, Augusta University and industry leaders, featured 370 exhibitors, including CyberproAI, alongside representatives from across the U.S. defense, government and technology communities.
Showcasing Cympire, Bina and Cywareness
CyberproAI presented a range of technologies and capabilities at TechNet Augusta, including Cympire, Bina and Cywareness.

Across conversations with attendees, a theme emerged: the demand for hands-on, practical cyber training continues to grow. Military and government audiences showed particular interest in capabilities that could be tested in realistic operational environments, particularly where training could reflect the conditions and pressures teams may face in practice.
Critical Infrastructure in Focus
The discussions at TechNet Augusta reflected a broader focus on the resilience of critical infrastructure and operational technology. The conference program addressed cyber threats to operational technology, infrastructure supporting military missions and the protection of U.S. critical infrastructure. These discussions came against a backdrop of recent cyber activity affecting essential services in the United States.
In July 2026, the FBI and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency warned that malicious cyber actors were targeting internet-facing operational technology devices used by water and wastewater utilities. Utilities in at least seven states reported incidents, with some activity resulting in degraded water operations.
This threat environment also shaped the response to new cybersecurity scenarios and campaigns presented by CyberproAI at the event. Attendees recognized their relevance to current threats and the need for teams to prepare for incidents affecting operational systems and essential infrastructure.
The challenge is increasingly urgent. Cyber teams need to understand how attacks work and have the time to practice how they detect, analyze and respond to attacks with real operational consequences.
