For over 20 years I have been an independent consultant specializing in large-scale enterprise cyber security issues: from policy and procedure, through staffing and training, to the deployment and use of scalable prevention, detection, and response technologies and techniques. With a keen understanding of ROI and TCO, I have helped my clients achieve greater success, advising in both public and private sectors—from small startups to the Fortune 50, multiple U.S. DoD forces, and other critical infrastructure U.S. federal agencies.

A former U.S. Navy NCO and field corpsman serving with both the Navy and Marines, I have also spent 10 years volunteering my time to both practice and teach a different kind of emergency response, for both the American Red Cross and the National Ski Patrol, for which I have been a Senior Alpine rescuer and Certified Instructor in emergency medicine.
